I find these numbers to be damning. Porn has invaded the home, it has invaded the church, it has invaded the lives of billions of men and women, and it will stop at no cost, until it has collected every last soul that it can consume. It destroys relationships, it destroys marriages, it divides churches, and it destroys human beings. It is a distorted and perverted image of what true love, beauty, and relationship should ever be thought to be.
People come into the houses of God after sitting in porn, lust, fornication, etc the night before and think nothing of it! There is no fear of God in them, there is no godly sorrow, and there is no weeping and mourning before a Holy God; there is no repentant heart!
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, – 1 Corinthians 6:9
I have known Christian men to proclaim that pornography is both excusable and acceptable because it is such a normal thing that coexists in the world that we live in. I cry for these people who think that they know God, it is true that God does not know them. People come into the so called houses of God and are filled with joy but the Lord says, “What you see as holy temples I see as brothel houses.” When will the church be woken up, when will they hold true to the truths of Jesus Christ?
How lovesick is your heart, declares the Lord God, because you did all these things, the deeds of a brazen prostitute, building your vaulted chamber at the head of every street, and making your lofty place in every square. Yet you were not like a prostitute, because you scorned payment. – Ezekiel 16:30-31
The word sexual is not used once in the Bible without the words “immoral” following it, or being described in a perverse, wicked way (with exception to heterosexual marriage). Friends, the Bride of Christ is called to a higher standard, the Bride will be seen and known by the rest of the world as different people. If you are the Bride, people lost in sin should look at you and say, “There is something different about him or her, they have set aside everything and surrendered all to God!”
We know that the Bride will and has made herself ready to meet God, so the question is, are you ready? I do not care what your testimony of the Lord is, if you are sitting at a table of devils you will not see the Kingdom of God when this life is over. I do not care how much you attend church, how much you read your Bible, or what kind of person you are, because neither does God. Are you ready to face God?
Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; – Revelation 19:7
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! – 1 Corinthians 6:15
Can you image standing before God and Him seeing straight through you, every sin you have ever committed. Can you image all the men who built multi-billion dollar industries on pornography, and of prostitution of women and children. All will be revealed at the Judgment seat before God and before the saints who are the Bride; there will be no hiding, there will be no mercy, there will be no second chance. You will be judged, and if your name is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life you will be cast into Hell.
This is the truth and severity of God that is unseen by more than 90% of church goers and religious institutions. In reality less than 10% of all who claim to have a relationship with God have anything to do with him at all. It is evident in the way they live their lives.
A.W. Tozer said, “For me to accept Christ means that I am to accept Him in every part of my being and that I am to form an attachment to Him, an emotional, an intellectual, a volitional attachment which is complete, leaving no part of the life unaffected. If He cannot control you, He cannot save you. And if He cannot control all of you, He cannot control any of you!”
Salvation is a super natural happening, that occurs when God pours himself into a sinners life. The Holy Spirit draws sinners to repentance because they are condemned and know the weight of their sin, they cry out to God for mercy until mercy is given, and they are made new. The are not patched up, they are made into a new creation.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. – 2 Corinthians 5:17
Salvation is not what happens at an alter but what happens and remains for the entirety of ones life. One does not simply pray for salvation and they are handed grace to live a life no different than those who Christ does not abide in. This is what the church has become and very few are mourning over it.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. – James 4:8-9
