Are You Willing To Die For The Things That You Are Living For?

Let me ask you, are you willing to die for the things that you are living for? Maybe an even better question one man of God asked, “Are the things you are living for worth Christ dying for?” Who you are, and what you do both in public and in private are who you are, who you are is a composition of what you are living for. You can say, “Oh, you don’t know me, you don’t have any idea whats inside my heart!” I can tell you that is not true, because that is not what Jesus said.

And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.” -Mark 7:20-23

Friends, your words and your actions speak what is inside of your heart. Your hearts will be a testimony against you before God.

“But can’t I serve God, and live a life of pre-marital sex and promiscuity? Can’t I just go get drunk and ask God for forgiveness, can’t I just smoke some marijuana, and praise God, I love Jesus, can’t I just be like the rest of the world, listen to the things that they listen to, watch the same thing that they watch, go to their clubs, talk like them, act like them, throw in some morals, go to church and still love God!?”

No friends, you cannot..and if this is you, and your heart is set upon these things, then your heart is not set upon Christ and you will not see the Kingdom of God, you will not make it.

We have said that if a child or person are baptized in water or pray a prayer and believe in the name of Jesus, that that must be evident that they are Christian. That is not evident, what is evident is are they changed, are they separate from the world, do they give glory and honor to Christ?

I will be astonished if 5% of all people who proclaim the name of Jesus Christ enter the Kingdom of God, that is both Protestants and Catholics together. America is said to be the greatest Christian nation ever lived, but out of it comes a hate and rejection of God, from both their mouths and hearts.

Tell me, are you willing to die for the things of this world? Are you willing to one day stand before God with porn, adultery, lust, fornication, drunkenness, substances, drugs, dishonesty, hate, envy, pride, and the sins of your flesh in your hearts. Don’t you know that these things are evidence of the rejection of God in your lives? Do you realize that even good strong morals and living a church life are still not enough?

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” -John 3:3

Are you born again from going to church? No. Are you born again by praying a prayer? No. Are you born again by doing what is good? No. You are born again when by the grace of God, you see the weight of sin in your life which killed the Son of God and nailed Him to a cross, you cry out to Him and He pours himself into you, He becomes real and He lives inside you.

If you were to be nailed to a cross for your sins you would die and be cast into Hell, but God allowed His Son the be crucified for you, your sins were hung on Him, and unless you are born again you will pay for your sins. Some people say well I’ve lived a good life, I haven’t done anything wrong. I am telling you there is no good act, or life of acts that can grant you eternal life.

Salvation is not a math equation, it is not a prayer, it is not a 5 step process, it is a super natural deliverance from God to sinners and they become a new creation by Him and for Him. New desires, new thoughts, a new walk of life, all set upon the principles and determination of giving glory to Jesus Christ!

What are you living for, who are you living for? Was Jesus Christ’s death on a cross worth what you live for?
